A heritage
of challenge and self-discovery
Since 1885, being an Abbotsleigh girl has involved accepting challenges
and setting personal goals requiring effort and self-discipline.
Each student is encouraged to develop a world view through participation
in international competitions, our exchange agreements, overseas
music tours and community service projects.
Responsiveness
to challenge, emerging self-reliance and confidence are all permanent
benefits of every girl's learning at Abbotsleigh

Achieving
girls' goals in a challenging environment
The
coveted Tildesley Shield for Tennis is once again in Abbotsleigh's
possession after an absence of some years.
Abbotsleigh
champions participation as well as competitive challenges.
A Powerhouse
of Achievement
Abbotsleigh was the top performing private girls' school in Sydney
in the 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 HSC examinations.
Essentially
non-selective, we value and encourage each girl's efforts to gain
a personal best score in all she attempts in academic pursuits,
the creative and performing arts and sport.
