Takashi Watanabe and Ryutaro Uchiyama, former Partner and Manager of Chuo Coopers & Lybrand International Tax Office, established Tokyo Kyodo Accounting Office in 1993. Since then, with our mission to provide 3C” services, i.e. Creative, Client-oriented and Constructive services, in mind, we have provided high-quality accounting and tax consulting services to corporate and individual clients both within and outside Japan. Currently, we consist of 40 staffs, including Japanese CPAs, Licensed Tax Accountants, and Business Consultants. Our clients include multi-national enterprises, venture corporations, various investment funds, and Japanese and foreign institutions across various industries and size of operation. We also act as financial and tax adviser to high net worth individuals.

To serve our international clients, we participate in two international networks of accounting firms, the International Group of Accounting Firms(”IGAF”) and the International Association of Practicing Accountants “IAPA”). In addition, we have also developed informal but close relationships with many of the best U.S. and European law firms, with which we keep good contact. This allows us to respond more rapidly and precisely to international client’s needs.

In the past 6 years we acted as tax adviser for a number of large-scaled asset securitization programs for Japanese banks and non-banks launched in the Euro market. We have steadily built its business and reputation in the global financial market. The May 1998” edition of International Tax Review’ ranked us as one of the “best advisers in Asia-Pacific” for asset securitization section. We often speak at reputable conferences held in Japan on rapidly transforming financial areas, including asset securitization, real estate finance, credit derivatives, and electronic commerce. We also issue publications in relation to cutting-edge topics in Japanese and international accounting and tax matters.
