Toowoomba Grammar School is a non-denominational school for boys set in the heart of Australia’s most beautiful provincial city. The School is of Christian tone and character and caters for boys from years one to twelve. The School is one of the nine member schools of the nationally known “Great Public Schools of Queensland”.

The School is essentially academic; however, there is a recognition that some boys may not wish to continue an academic tertiary career and to that end some vocational courses are offered with some units being credited to tertiary courses.

Academic results at Toowoomba Grammar School in recent years have been outstanding. The vast majority of boys proceed to tertiary studies and may obtain offers to study at the most prestigious universities in the country.

On the sporting field Toowoomba Grammar School is renowned as the School “That Plays the Game”. While academic endeavour receives priority, sport is encouraged as it is an essential ingredient of a well rounded education together with an exposure and encouragement of culture and teaching of social standards. Boys are taught to be gracious in victory and magnanimous in defeat.

The School, is, for management purposes, divided into ten vertically structured Houses, five boarding and five dayboy. Each House is the responsibility of a Housemaster and assisting the Housemaster is an Assistant Housemaster, Tutors and in the Boarding Houses, resident staff.
