ENTERPRISE PARK
THE BENEFITS OF LOCATING YOUR BUSINESS THERE
In real estate and business the common catchcry is “location,
location, location”.
Northpoint Enterprise Park is strategically located to be
the FLAGSHIP business park of the northern suburbs of Melbourne, being
sited at the major intersection of a State Highway and a major arterial
road. Northpoint will comprise of a combination of retail, commercial
and industrial property activity of which our Directors will be extremely
proud. The 63 hectare Park will ultimately be the home to properties with
an estimated value of $300 million.
The Hon. John Brumby, Treasurer of Victoria and Minister
for State and Regional Development, when launching “Melbourne’s
North – The Best for Business” promotional campaign urged
business people to consider Melbourne’s north for their business
and investment needs. The Treasurer then officially launched Northpoint
on our behalf and that gathering of influential government officials and
business people was testimony to the impetus that Northpoint is gaining
as the place for business to be done.
We at Northpoint Enterprise Park share the State Government’s
visions that there will be an immediate upsurge of Business development
in the North particularly when the Craigieburn Bypass is completed in
2004 and the upgrade of Cooper Street to a four lane boulevard is completed
in 2003.
ROAD NETWORK - OUTSTANDING
Northpoint abuts the Craigieburn Bypass and fronts onto Cooper Street,
Epping, at a full diamond interchange of those two major roadways. Our
marketing theme is TIME IS MONEY and access around Melbourne and interstate
from Northpoint will not be able to be bettered. Northpoint is within
easy access to Melbourne Airport, The Docklands, freight rail and the
Central Business District of Melbourne.
We return to the catchcry of location, location, location.
We can say without fear of contradiction that there would not be another
Business Park anywhere in Australia that can match our features of access
to a major freeway (Craigieburn Bypass) and being located on a major arterial
road (Cooper Street) only one kilometre from a regional shopping centre
(Epping Plaza) and a major hospital (Northern Hospital). Add to this the
close proximity of tertiary institutions and we have all the necessary
ingredients of a great place for people to do business in.
LOCAL GOVERNMENT SUPPORT
Northpoint Enterprise Park is situated within the municipality of the
City of Whittlesea. The City’s population is growing rapidly and
immediately to the north of Northpoint is the new suburb of “Aurora”
which will provide a quality workforce from its projected population of
25,000 residents.
When the concept of Northpoint was being mooted David Turnbull,
Director of City Development, was quick to point out that the City had
a major problem. This was a JOBS/HOUSING imbalance. Residential growth
was far outweighing available jobs growth. Northpoint will be a major
factor in correcting this imbalance.
NORTHPOINT ENTERPRISE PARK WILL CREATE
IN EXCESS OF 2,500 JOBS.
A major reason behind the certain success of Northpoint is that we do
have a proactive Council supporting development in their City. Council
is willing to fast-track appropriate planning applications and will deal
on a case-by-case situation as to whether a relocation assistance grant
to a particular company is warranted.
It is rewarding to the Directors of Northpoint to be part
of a chapter of growth in the Whittlesea municipality that has all spheres
working together.
