Whitsundays

The Gold Coast is Australia’s playground – a place that is very easy to get to, and famous for its warm climate and natural attractions as well as exciting events, shopping and nightlife.
The Gold Coast offers stunning landscapes of ocean, waterways and rainforest. Walk along white beaches that dissolve into the distance, take on theme-park thrills, or hike rainforest tracks a stone’s throw from boutique vineyards and renowned eco-lodges – whatever your thing, it’s all very easy on the Gold Coast.
The spectacular green coral gems of the Whitsundays’ 74 tropical islands are a magnet not only for lovers and honeymooners but increasingly for all who appreciate nature’s finer work. Relax on silica-white stretches of sand; visit stunning heart-shaped reefs harbouring coral lagoons– the Whitsundays are a dream holiday experience.
The Sunshine Coast is a stretch of white sandy beaches, crystal-clear water and rolling green mountains. Charming mountain hamlets like Maleny and the stunning beauty of the Glass House mountains (pictured above) typify the hinterland behind one of Australia’s most scenic coastlines, where roads wind through valleys, mountains and hillside villages.
Cairns is the undisputed gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, the planet’s largest World Heritage area, comprising 2900 individual coral reefs stretching 2300km along the Queensland coast. Cairns provides one of the best vantage points to see this living wonder’s incredible corals, fish and exotic marine creatures.
Cairns is also the platform to another natural World Heritage listed wonder: the Wet Tropics Rainforest, said to be the oldest on Earth.
