Study in Australia: Education Week at the Australian pavilion will highlight opportunities for both individuals and educational institutions (Pictured: Monash University)

Education Week at World Expo

One of Australia’s key objectives at Aichi is to raise Australia’s profile as an educational services provider. Visitors to the pavilion will enjoy a multimedia presentation focusing on the Australian education experience.

From 6-10 June 2005, the mezzanine level of the Australian pavilion will be the venue for Education Week – with events showcasing Australia’s innovation, quality and excellence in education, training and research.

Each of the first four days will be dedicated to one education sector, with the fifth day being a Childrens' Day. The main education sectors include:

  • higher education;
  • vocational education and training;
  • schools; and
  • English language study.

Briefing sessions each day will highlight Australia’s education capabilities; Australian and Japanese industry representatives will have the opportunity to develop networks and exchange ideas during the five-day program. Guests will be entertained and informed by a program that brings together audio-visual displays with demonstrations of cutting-edge information technology and high-quality video-conferencing.

The topics that will be explored include Australia’s education system, quality assurance measures and sector-specific issues that are relevant to the Australian and Japanese education relationship.
