Sydney’s ATP has been shaping the future since 1887.

Founded in 1995, the Australian Technology Park (ATP) is an advanced scientific and technological research and development precinct. Spread over 13.8 hectares, ATP occupies the site of the old Eveleigh Railway Workshops, only five kilometres from Sydney CBD.

Housed within a shell of beautifully- preserved buildings from the Victorian era, the ATP offers ultra-modern office accommodation and a large range of facilities and services to support technology businesses. These include fibre-optic cabling, LANs, WANs and the latest communications technology, 24-hour seven-day on-site security, parking and excellent transport links. The Park also has its own conference facilities – the ATP Conference Centre – which hosts more than 400 events each year.

It is a stimulating environment, which brings together state-of-the-art science, technology, research and development, business and education.

ATP Precinct Management (ATPPM) is responsible for the Park’s management and strategic development. ATPPM is an operating company of the Park’s owner, Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority, a New South Wales Government statutory authority.

ATP Innovation, a consortium comprising the University of New South Wales, the University of Sydney, the University of Technology Sydney and the Australian National University, manages the Business Incubator Program and promotes the R&D interests of its university stakeholders.
Eighty technology companies have a presence at the ATP, including Australian Photonics Cooperative Research Centre, Australian Centre for Advance Computing and Communications (ac3), Fuji Xerox, Johnson & Johnson Research and Advanced Manufacturing Centre, and two cooperative research centres (CRCs) – Smart Internet Technology and Security Industry Research Centre Asia Pacific.

The ATP is open to individuals and organisations involved in research, development and commercialisation of new technology.
