Outstanding results and a caring environment.
Trinity Grammar School in Sydney is an Anglican day
and boarding boys school. It comprises the Preparatory School
in Strathfield (Pre-K to 12), the Senior School in Summer Hill,
and Trinitys Pine Bluff Outdoor Education Centre on the Abercrombie
river. Since its founding in 1913, Trinity has forged a reputation
for outstanding academic results, a caring pastoral programme, innovation
in the creative arts and an emphasis on both traditional and community
sports.
The School offers both the NSW Higher School Certificate
and the International Baccalaureate Diploma, and has students placed
in the top 1% of results each year.
Old Trinitarians include Olympians Bill Tully, Wayne
Shillington and Lars Kleppich, Judges Hungerford and Badgery Parker,
A.B. Kerrigan, QC, businessman John Lamble and, in the creative
arts, John Antill, Richard Wherrett and Marc Newson.
Personal growth
Trinity prides itself on its record of guiding the development of
its boys as they grow into fine young men. The School provides a
thoroughly Christian education, actively encouraging its students
to grow in wisdom, stature and in favour with God and man, in order
that they may become responsible, contributing members of society.
In the pastoral programme highly experienced staff
seek to extend each student academically while carefully monitoring
the individuals personal development. Involvement in sport
and co-curricular activities is a compulsory part of student life,
with emphasis on participation as well as performance.
The environment
The School of Science and The Roderick West School of Music provide
the perfect atmosphere for learning, while the computer laboratories
and the Technology and Design Centre ensure boys have hands-on experience
with modern technology. The visual arts also have their own purpose-built
facility.
There are three ovals at Summer Hill. The gymnasium
is large and modern with excellent fitness equipment. There is an
eight-lane indoor swimming pool also situated in the complex.
The Outdoor Education campus at Pine Bluff sees groups
of 30 boys from Year 9 undertake an exciting academically-based
wilderness programme over five-week periods throughout the year.
