How do you grow an industry that can meet the energy demands of tomorrow, today?

The Sustainable Energy Development Authority, SEDA, was established by the NSW Government in 1996 to accelerate the transition to sustainable production and use of energy in NSW. Today the sustainable energy industry in our state is growing annually at a rate of 25 percent.

Last year alone SEDA's initiatives and partnerships delivered $185 million in new investment, $415 million in lifetime energy savings and 10 million lifetime tonnes of CO2e abatement. Targeted SEDA funding for renewable energy projects of $14 million has resulted in $94 million in private investment in NSW's burgeoning renewable energy industry.
