The A.P. Moller – Maersk Group recently celebrated a 100 years in shipping, the work that was started by Mr. A.P. Møller in 1904 has developed into a major international enterprise with activities covering diverse areas such as shipping, oil drilling, shipbuilding, aviation, industry and retail.

Operating one of the largest liner shipping companies in the world, the Group owns more than 250 ships and its shipping activities cover transportation of crude oil, refined products and liquefied gases, support to the offshore oil industry and operation of drilling rigs as well as ship broking activities.

A.P. Moller Singapore is the ship owning arm of the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group in Singapore. The company was established in 1978 and today owns and operates a fleet of 27 vessels that include Very large crude carriers, Product tankers, Container vessels and Pure car and truck carriers with a total Gross tonnage of 1.8 million tonnes, which makes it one of the largest ship owners in Singapore. The company employs about 900 seafarers, including Officers, Ratings and Cadets.

A.P. Moller Singapore is on a growth curve in the coming years, with a large number of new buildings that will be delivered to the company over the next four years. These new buildings will include Oil tankers, Gas carriers, Pure car and truck carriers and Container vessels.
