Fearnley Consultants A/S is one of the world’s leading marine transportation consultancy companies. Fearnley Consultants was formed as an associated company to Fearnleys A/S in 1975. Fearnresearch
The company maintains high quality standards, is ISO certified, and is known for its impartiality. Together with its sister company, Fearnresearch, the company maintains and updates some 5000 time series covering virtually every aspect of trade in bulk commodities by sea. In addition, Fearnresearch has been tracking every commercial vessel over 50,000 dwt since the 1960s (electronically since 1987), and this places it in a unique position to create trade matrices based upon actual vessel movements, cargo movements, and world seaborne trade.

Fearnley Consultants’ client base consists of oil companies, shipowners, industrial and manufacturing groups, and government agencies. At the present time, the company is engaged in a project for the Panama Canal Authority which involves a 25-year forecast pertaining to the liquid bulk market and the Panama Canal.
