Kobe University of Mercantile Marine (KUMM)

Profile of KUMM
Enrolment in 2002 was 1027 undergraduates, 150 graduates and 57 Sea Training Course students. Enrolments were drawn from various parts of Japan, Asia and the Pacific Rim. KUMM has excellent facilities for studies such as computer network systems, satellite education systems, training vessels, towing and circulating tanks, and advanced research equipment on fluid, thermal, and material engineering.

The doctor course includes the International Course for overseas students:
The lectures and research advice are given in English; and

Integration with Kobe University
KUMM is to be integrated with Kobe University as one faculty of Maritime Science and Graduate School of Science and Technology, in October 2003.
