EU-India Summit signifies a dynamic, strategic partnership

Australian publisher pitches in to help the next-generation of Indian cricketers

Stroudgate has today announced that it will send three Australian Cricket Board-qualified coaches to Jaipur, Rajasthan to conduct cricket coaching clinics throughout the region.

The cricket camps will be conducted in conjunction with the Rajasthan Colts Cricket Club.

“After many visits to Rajasthan and witnessing the passion of the many poor and under-privileged children participating in cricket, we decided to continue building their enthusiasm for the sport and offer a structured cricket coaching programme at no cost to the participants” said Stroudgate CEO Mr. Bruce Adams.

“Over a four week period, we will provide coaching to some 500 children in the region”, he added.

the Indian election campaign trail

Australian publisher and Stroudgate CEO Mr. Bruce Adams was invited by Indian Commerce Minister Shri Kamal Nath to accompany him on the 2009 Lok Sahb election campaign in Chhindwara, India.

Over a four day period, Minister Kamal Nath and Mr. Adams travelled by helicopter and visited more than 20 remote villages, gaining a first-hand appreciation of the election process in India – the world’s biggest democracy.

Stroudgate wins contract for international bilateral trade publication

Stroudgate has been appointed official publisher by the Indian Government and the European Commission Delegation to India for production of a bilateral Trade and Investment publication in both electronic and print media.

Alongside Indian Commerce minister Shri Kamal Nath, Stroudgate CEO Mr Bruce Adams has been appointed Co-Patron of the Chhindwara District Cricket Association. While yet to produce a Test cricketer, Chhindwara is home to some 1.2 million people and the largest geographical district of Madhya Pradesh, the ‘Heart of India’.

Currently under construction in Chhindwara is a cricket stadium set to be the cornerstone of a new Indian cricket academy. Mr Adams is planning to return to Chhindwara later this year.

Beijing China – Olympic Games

China Australia Business – the bilateral trade and investment publication for Australian and Chinese business interests – was this evening launched at the Beijing Hilton.

Guest speakers included Austrade CEO, Mr Peter O’Byrne, The Hon Warwick Smith AO, and Mr Christopher Campbell, CEO of Academies Australasia.

The book launch was part of the Australian Government initiative ‘Business Club Australia’. The club aims to provide a vehicle for high level business and political relationships to form at major events such as the Olympic Games.
