It is also the official publication of the Australia India Business Council’s 25-year Anniversary.

The Madan Lal/Ashok Malhotra Cup is a tournament consisting of selected teams from the Madan Lal Cricket Academy (Delhi), the Ashok Malhotra Cricket Academy (Calcutta), the Bruce Adams Cricket Academy (Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh), and the ACT Under 15’s Representative team from Australia.

Coordinated by former Indian first-grade player Kuunal Lall and Bruce Adams, the tournament was played in round-robin over 8 days at three venues; Hamdard University, Siri Fort, and Mohan Nagar.

All four competing teams attended the High Commission event, and were overwhelmed to meet their sporting idols Kapil Dev, Madan Lal and Ashok Malhotra. Many of the boys and their families had the opportunity to meet and have their photo taken with the cricketing greats.

For many of the young cricketers and their parents, this was their first trip to Delhi. Some of the parents of the players from the ACT Representative Cricket team described the trip as an unparalleled experience, and attending the event at the High Commission an opportunity few, if any, of them would have had without the tournament.

The Hon. Shri Kamal Nath addressed the audience briefly, expressing his pride in the achievements of the Bruce Adams Cricket Academy in Chhindwara. As Chief Patron, Nath has played a key role in the academy’s success. >>

The event will be proudly remembered by Stroudgate as a successful and enjoyable night.
