Australia: The Education Destination launch in Hong Kong

Australia: The Education Destination will be launched to the Hong Kong/China student market at a cocktail reception in Hong Kong on the evening of the 10 July 2010.

The publication will be launched with the support and cooperation of Austrade at a cocktail reception with Mr Les Luck Australian Consul-General to Hong Kong, and Mr Phil Ingram Australian Trade Commissioner, as special guests.

The publication will also be distributed to potential students at the Hong Kong/China International Education Fair on 10 and 11 July from the official Australian Pavilion.

20/20 Bruce Adams Cup 2010

The Bruce Adams Cricket Academy in Chhindwara, M.P., commenced this season’s program with the inaugural ‘20/20 Bruce Adams Cup’. The tournament was contested at both senior and junior levels and was played with 8 teams in each division over 5 days.

Despite the thermometer reaching 49C, there was only one player casualty with Jack Adams being hospitalised with dehydration. Under the patronage of The Hon. Shri Kamal Nath, the Bruce Adams Cricket Academy will coach and mentor some 400 junior cricketers from Chhindwara and surrounding tribal and rural areas.

Stroudgate expands EU Delegation publications

India cricket update

The annual Bruce Adams Cricket Academy in Chhindwara has been confirmed to commence on 15 May and conclude on 15 June.

More than 1,000 children from Chhindwara and surrounding districts will participate in the month-long cricket program.

This year it is expected that over 400 children from tribal areas will participate in the Cricket Academy and for most it will be their first formal introduction to cricket.

“This year we will introduce cricket to children aged between six and nine with a modified game similar to ‘Have-a-go cricket’, which is immensely popular with Australian children.

Five specialist Australian Cricket Board Qualified Coaches will work on developing the cricket skills of boys and girls from 9 to 21 years of age.

“This year I have also hired two 28-seat buses which will transport the children to Chhindwara from surrounding tribal areas, making the game of cricket accessible to all.” says Stroudgate CEO Bruce Adams.

Stroudgate to publish for the EU Delegation to Australia

In May 2010 Stroudgate will launch a new edition of European Australian Business – the official bilateral trade and investment publication which will focus on trade and investment opportunities between the EU Member States and Australia.

A fully-digitised, interactive online version of the publication will be launched simultaneously with the print edition.

EU-India Summit signifies a dynamic, strategic partnership

Stroudgate has released its latest official title – The European Union and India – A Dynamic, Strategic Partnership – at the EU-India Summit. The book was launched with more than 700 guests in attendance, including Indian Trade Minister Sharma, European Union President José Manuel Barrosso and European Union Trade Commissioner Catherine Ashton.

Australian entrepreneur promotes international engagement through sport

Stroudgate CEO Mr. Bruce Adams has today announced the sponsorship and establishment of the Stroudgate Cricket Academy to be based at the new Chhindwara District Cricket Ground.

Australian publisher pitches in to help the next-generation of Indian cricketers

Stroudgate has today announced that it will send three Australian Cricket Board-qualified coaches to Jaipur, Rajasthan to conduct cricket coaching clinics throughout the region.

The cricket camps will be conducted in conjunction with the Rajasthan Colts Cricket Club.

“After many visits to Rajasthan and witnessing the passion of the many poor and under-privileged children participating in cricket, we decided to continue building their enthusiasm for the sport and offer a structured cricket coaching programme at no cost to the participants” said Stroudgate CEO Mr. Bruce Adams.

“Over a four week period, we will provide coaching to some 500 children in the region”, he added.

Australian publisher off the beaten track and onto the Indian election campaign trail

Australian publisher and Stroudgate CEO Mr. Bruce Adams was invited by Indian Commerce Minister Shri Kamal Nath to accompany him on the 2009 Lok Sahb election campaign in Chhindwara, India.

Over a four day period, Minister Kamal Nath and Mr. Adams travelled by helicopter and visited more than 20 remote villages, gaining a first-hand appreciation of the election process in India – the world’s biggest democracy.

Stroudgate wins contract for international bilateral trade publication

Stroudgate has been appointed official publisher by the Indian Government and the European Commission Delegation to India for production of a bilateral Trade and Investment publication in both electronic and print media.

Stroudgate CEO Mr. Bruce Adams appointed as Patron of the Chhindwara District Cricket Association

Alongside Indian Commerce minister Shri Kamal Nath, Stroudgate CEO Mr Bruce Adams has been appointed Co-Patron of the Chhindwara District Cricket Association. While yet to produce a Test cricketer, Chhindwara is home to some 1.2 million people and the largest geographical district of Madhya Pradesh, the ‘Heart of India’.

Currently under construction in Chhindwara is a cricket stadium set to be the cornerstone of a new Indian cricket academy. Mr Adams is planning to return to Chhindwara later this year.

Beijing China – Olympic Games

China Australia Business – the bilateral trade and investment publication for Australian and Chinese business interests – was this evening launched at the Beijing Hilton.

Guest speakers included Austrade CEO, Mr Peter O’Byrne, The Hon Warwick Smith AO, and Mr Christopher Campbell, CEO of Academies Australasia.

The book launch was part of the Australian Government initiative ‘Business Club Australia’. The club aims to provide a vehicle for high level business and political relationships to form at major events such as the Olympic Games.
